For the 2014 season, AHS Students will perform “Stopping At Ellis Island” by Thomas Hischak. This very human, touching drama serves as a valuable history lesson for young and old alike. The drama unfolds in a room on Ellis Island in 1906 when seven newly-arrived immigrants are singled out by the authorities and told to wait. Immigrants build a kinship with each other as their fears, hopes and dreams take shape as they embark on a new journey to America.
