- Non-Action Items
8.1 CAPABLE Presentation: Jenny Fox will be here to give an update regarding the activities of the CAPABLE organization so far this year.
8.2 Odysseyware Information: Included in your packet is a summary of the information Dawn will discuss with you.
8.3 K-12 Principal Search: Dawn will present some information and her thoughts on the upcoming Principal search.
8.4 Superintendent Evaluation Instrument: I believe there has been some limited discussion of how the new superintendent will be evaluated. I think it would be appropriate for a board committee from each school sit down and meet with Dawn and discuss how and with what instrument will be used for future superintendent evaluations.
- Action Items
9.1 Approve Superintendent Contract: Since Callaway will hold the contract technically the Arnold board does not have to approve the Superintendent contract. However, I think we should still do it and have it as a part of the minutes.
9.2 Approve Master Contract with the AEA: Included in your packet is a copy of the master contract. I feel very comfortable with the base salary and adjustments for the speech and drama positions.
9.3 Approve Superintendent as Representative for Federal funds: This is something we need to do every year. It allows me to apply for all the Federal funds the district receives.
9.4 Approve Distance Education Contract with ESU 16: a copy of the contract is included in your packet. This contract supports our distance education classes as well as our distance education equipment. The reimbursement we get from the state for having distance learning classes will pay for much of the costs for this contract. The cost of the contract is $23,000.
- Principal’s Report: A summary of Dawn’s report is in your packet
- Superintendent’s Report:
11.1 February Board Meeting Date: February 10 is the second Tuesday of the month and we have a basketball game scheduled for that evening at Arnold. Would you like to have a morning meeting or meet on Thursday, February 12?
