Ashton Weinman and Morgan Eggleston competed in the National American Miss Pageant teen division May 9th and 10th at the Ramada Inn in Omaha NE.
There were 55 girls in the teen division. Both girls received Nebraska State Finalist trophies.
Ashton received an Outstanding Program Participation trophy. She also competed in the Best Actress competition and received a 3rd Runner Up trophy in this competition.Ashton also competed in the Volunteer Service optional contest and the required State Finalist Resume contest, Personal Introduction Competition, Interview Competition and Formal Wear Competition.
“I built a lot confidence, life skills, and I met a lot of new friends from across Nebraska,” said Ashton. “Learning about how to do interviews, how to talk in front of a crowd, how to dress for the situation, how to dress for the situation, and how to overcome stage fright.”
Morgan participated in the required State Finalist Resume contest, Personal Introduction Competition, Interview Competition and Formal Wear Competition and the optional Academic Achievement Contest.
“Competing in the pageant helped me to learn a lot about myself. I practiced pubic speaking skills and interviewing skills that I will be able to use for the rest of my life. Overall, it was a great experience and a lot of fun,” said Morgan Eggleston.
Ironically, both girls have been involved in the School House Graphic Products classes and have made trophies for this company prior to today. Wouldn’t it be strange if they made their own trophies?
