September 8, 2026 Resolution Hearing

A Special Meeting of the Board of Education of the School District of Arnold, in the County of Custer, in the State of  Nebraska School District No. 89 of Custer County, Nebraska, was convened in open and Public Session after the Budget Hearing on the 8th day of  September, 2026, at Arnold Public School East Campus, in said District.  Notice of the Meeting was given in advance thereof according to Law by Proper Publication, a designated method for giving notice to the School District,  A copy of the Proof of Publication being attached to these minutes.  Notice of this meeting was given in advance to all members of the Board of Education.  Availability of the Agenda and the Purpose of the meeting was communicated in the advanced notice of the meeting to the members of this meeting.

Board of Education met in special session Tue, September 8, 2026 at 8:04 P.M. with all members present.  

Meeting called to order

Motion Strasburg, seconded Dalrymple to approve the agenda.  Unanimous on roll call vote.

NON-ACTION ITEMS

Opened Resolution Hearing at 8:05 p.m.

Heard Testimony

Closed Resolution Hearing at 8:09 p.m.

Meeting adjourned by Bowers at 8:09 p.m.

Board of Education met in regular session Tues, September 8, 2026 at 8:10 P.M. with all members present. 

Meeting called to order

Motion J. Cool, seconded Bierman to approve the agenda.  Unanimous on roll call vote.

Motion Dalrymple, seconded Bierman to approve the minutes of the last meetings.  Unanimous on roll call vote.

Motion Dalrymple, seconded J. Cool to approve claims totaling $333,921.06.  Unanimous on roll call vote.

ACTION ITEMS

Motion J. Cool, seconded Dalrymple to approve Recognition of Arnold Education Association (AEA) as Exclusive Bargaining Unit for Teachers for 2028-2029 Negotiations.  Unanimous on roll call vote.

Motion Strasburg, seconded Bierman to approve 2026-2027 School District Budget.  Unanimous on roll call vote.

Motion Bierman, seconded S. Cool to approve 2026-2027 Tax Request Resolution.  Unanimous on roll call vote.

Motion Dalrymple, seconded Strasburg to approve xTool Printer purchase.  Unanimous on roll call vote.

Accepted Principal and Superintendent Reports

The next regular meeting will be Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 8:00 P.M. at the East Campus.

Meeting adjourned by Bowers at 8:58 P.M.

To be considered for payment bills must be in the school office by noon on Thursday before the Board Meeting on Tuesday.

August 11, 2026 Board Minutes

Board of Education met in regular session Tues, August 11, 2026 at 8:00 P.M. with five members present: Bierman, Bowers, Dalrymple, J. Cool and Strasburg.  S. Cool arrived at 8:03 P.M. 

Meeting called to order

Motion Dalrymple, seconded Strasburg to approve the agenda.  Unanimous on roll call with five members present.

Motion Bierman, seconded Strasburg to approve the minutes of the last meeting.  Unanimous on roll call vote with five members present.

Motion Strasburg, seconded Dalrymple to approve claims totaling $341,519.43.  Unanimous on roll call vote.

ACTION ITEMS

Motion Dalrymple, seconded Bierman to approve 2026-2027 Bus Routes.  Unanimous on roll call vote.

Motion Bierman, seconded Strasburg to approve Substitute Teacher Rate of $180 per day.  Unanimous on roll call vote.

Motion J. Cool, seconded Dalrymple to approve surplus 2014 Ford Econoline Van for disposal.  Unanimous on roll call vote.

Accepted Principal and Superintendent Reports

The next regular meeting will be Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 8:00 P.M. at the East Campus. 

A Budget Workshop is scheduled for Monday, August 24, 2026 at 8:00 P.M. at the East Campus.

Meeting adjourned by Bowers at 8:36 P.M.
